Hybrid Cutting Grinding Tool Patent
If The patented hybrid tool, US Patent 5,725,416, allows you to design a process that maximizes the ability to remove materials and finish materials in one operation. The hybrid tool has inserted cutters that machine details or forms into your products where cutting is the best technology choice. The hybrid tool technology allows other details and forms to be ground by diamond coated sections simultaneously. Contact our engineering department for details on how this technology may benefit your manufacturing operations.
Surface Coating Treatment of Grind Wheels
Helro Corporation has patented a process, US Patent 5,127,924, to manufacture grinding wheels with surface coatings of carbides and or nitrides to enhance critical grinding characteristics. The application of surface coatings such as TiN, TiC, and other commercially available surface treatments can reduce heat during grinding and extend tool life on hard to grind applications. Contact our engineering department for details on how this technology may benefit your manufacturing operations.
Innovative Power Transmission Belt Patent
Helro Corporation has developed a power transmission belt, US Patent 5,803,855, that reduces noise, extends belt life, and eliminates piling by optimizing the geometry of belt ribs. The belt design breaks belt geometry design into three areas of ribbed belt design. First the belt drive surface is designed to maximize contact surface over a wide range of pulley diameters using an innovative non-linear contact surface. Secondly, to reduce belt stress cracking the belt rib apex is formed to reduce stress concentrations. Piling, the accumulation of debris in between belt ribs, is eliminated by unique geometry between adjacent belt ribs.
